About this Event
What is a CNC router?
A CNC router is a computer-controlled machine for cutting and routing in 3D space. It is used to cut and shape 3D objects out of hard block material. It is an example of subtractive manufacturing.
Before you book
Please ensure that you have completed the following two steps in Canvas before you book this practice session:
1. Complete our online orientation.
2. Complete our online preparation module for the CNC router (you will need to have completed online orientation to gain access to this page.)

About this practice session
You will be provided with an in-person walkthrough of how to use the CNC router by our Maker Space Coordinator or a Creative Technologist. The purpose is to ensure that you have a practical understanding of how to operate the equipment. Once our Maker Space Coordinator is satisfied that you are able to safely operate the equipment, you will be free to use it whenever you wish.
