Info: This course prepares Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to safely support patients experiencing alcohol withdrawal. Participants will learn basic concepts of alcohol withdrawal syndrome, common signs and symptoms, safety risks, and the CNA’s role in monitoring, comfort measures, and timely reporting of changes in condition. Emphasis is placed on observation skills, therapeutic communication, trauma-informed care, and working collaboratively with the nursing and interdisciplinary team to promote patient safety and dignity.
