Join our engaging after-school Spanish playgroup, tailored for families with a foundational knowledge of the language. Conducted primarily in Spanish, this program offers children aged 3 and up the chance to enjoy music and movement, story time, arts and crafts, and science experiments. While the recommended age is 3, siblings are warmly welcome to join in the fun. Parents and caregivers are required to participate, fostering family bonding and supporting bilingual development in an interactive and playful environment.
Meet the teacher: Amanda is a speech language pathologist and mom of 2 boys. She was born in Puerto Rico but was raised in Florida, speaking both English and Spanish. Amanda always knew she wanted to teach her kids Spanish but it wasn't until she had her first son that she realized the dedicated commitment and effort it would take. After participating in bilingual playdates for 2 years at local parks, she saw how motivating it was for her son to speak Spanish when he played with other kids who also spoke the language. She desired to create a more structured environment so that her oldest could engage in fun "school-like" activities with other spanish speaking children and their families. The name for Club Coqui comes from the small frog that is native to the island of Puerto Rico, the "Coqui". It will be the Club’s mascot and will make an appearance at the beginning of each meetup.
Club Coqui will be held every 3rd Monday of every month, from 4:30 to 5:30. We hope to expand the program and meet up every week as the program gains more interest.

Recommended for ages 3+
Crafts, games, and potentially cooking activities.
Guardians must remain onsite - No Drop offs allowed
This is not a Spanish class but a lively space where existing language skills can thrive!
