7PM DOORS / 8PM MUSIC / $15Seattle based singer and rock marvel, Kim Virant first gained popularity in the early 90s with her band Lazy Susan. The band opened for such artists as Pearl Jam and performed at many of the original club-scene venues, taking part in the Seattle grunge subculture. When the band broke up in the late 90’s, Virant went on to pursue a career of her own, making music out of the blues and country idiom.
With Miraco, Danny Baker is going back to rock roots.
He honed his skills in honky-tonks and country bars across the Pacific Northwest. Scraping, shimmering guitars and a propulsive rhythmic foundation reveal influences like Hüsker Dü and Son Volt.
The music that Birdie Fenn Cent writes and sings is as pure and honest as it gets. She lives it and writes about it and writes about it and lives it.
