Taking inspiration from natural phenomena, Allen’s ceramic sculptures explore the human tendency to project physical traits onto abstract forms. Cloudforms captures the amorphous nature of a cloud in delicate porcelain. These works mimic the fluidity of clouds, inviting viewers to reflect on perception’s mutability. Each piece distils a cloud’s shifting presence into a single form, challenging us to interpret the natural world. Allen bridges the tangible and intangible, prompting contemplation of the intersection between nature, art, and human experience, highlighting our deep connection to nature’s complexities.1 Ponsonby Road
