Freshen up your closet, upsize your kid's coats, let go of those jeans that will never fit you again. We're looking for winter gear, kid's back to school clothes, teens, adults, seniors; all fashion and accessories in wearable condition are accepted. Even shoes! But nothing dirty please! We want to give new life to these items, to help the planet and help our wallets.For your convenience, there is a box on the Avonmore Community Hall front step to drop off donations ALL WEEK (Sept 26 - Oct 1)! Please bring your items in closed bags (to ward off weather bugs and dirt) They will be brought into the building every evening.
You can also come drop off prior to the event for our volunteers to sort between 10am-11am Oct 1. We encourage you to drop them off sooner than later so that residents picking up have the best opportunity to 'shop'.
You don't need to donate to take, nor take to donate. If you have nothing to donate but you just want to come by and take some free clothes - please do! All leftovers will be donated to the Bissell Thrift Shop where it will continue to give back to the community.
