Clothes Mending for Beginners ~ #RepairWeekLDN

Do you have clothes with missing buttons, drooping hems, or small holes, rips or tears?

To celebrate London Repair Week, we want to show you how to use hand sewing to carry out simple fixes and help you love your clothes for longer. Save money. Save the planet, too - extending the life of a garment by an extra 9 months reduces its environmental impact by 20-30%.

You will learn how to sew on a button, repair a split or ripped seam using backstitch and ladder stitch, and mend a hem with herringbone stitch.

All equipment provided for the duration of the workshop.

If you have a particular item that needs a repair, please feel free to bring it along - but for hygiene reasons, please make sure it's freshly laundered!
