Clothes Making & Fashion (Beginners) 9 September - 14 October 2026

Please note this course consists of 6 sessions, running from Wednesday 9 September to Wednesday 14 October, from 18:30 to 21:00. The course fee covers all 6 sessions. This is not a drop-in class, and sessions cannot be booked individually. We are unable to offer refunds or additional classes for any missed sessions.

You will be introduced to the general principles and skills relating to sewing and garment making, also using a commercial pattern.
You will need to bring a commercial Sewing Pattern that says Easy or Very Easy. No Button holes, zips and stretch fabric for the easy pattern. Examples of Easy/Very Easy sewing Brand names patterns are:

• Burda 6009
• Vogue 180
• McCall’s 8053
• Buttrick 6687

Also bring a basic sewing kit consisting of fabric scissors, trimming scissors, paper scissors, dressmaker sewing pins with glass heads(about 38mm long), tape measure, fabric marker, seam ripper and hand sewing needles. You must provide your own materials, fabric, haberdashery and thread to complete your garment.

The beginners class is suitable for people with limited or no previous experience. Students must be able to understand English.
