Clockwise - A Charlotte Mason Experience

Designed especially for Charlotte Mason educators, school leaders, and homeschooling parents, this formational school day invites participants to step back into the role of student and experience a living education firsthand.

Rather than simply discussing Charlotte Mason’s philosophy, participants will step into the role of student and move through a thoughtfully guided school day shaped by Mason’s ideas on time, attention, and human-paced learning.

Led by the leadership of Red Mountain Community School, the day unfolds through Morning Gathering, lessons in Number, Reading, History, and Copy Work, followed by afternoon undertakings in Nature Study, Singing, and Handicraft. Together, participants will experience the intentional rhythm, variety, and atmosphere of a Charlotte Mason education in practice.

The day concludes with afternoon tea, reflection, and conversation exploring the nuances of the experience from a student’s perspective.

Lunch for adult participants will be provided, along with childcare during the event. Parents are asked to pack lunch and snacks for their children.

Clockwise invites participants not merely to learn about a Charlotte Mason education but to inhabit it.
