The Clinton Death Café has been invited by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Utica to hold a Death Café following their service on Sunday, April 13. At the Service there will be a presentation/reflection on whether there is an afterlife (and, if so, will there be cake?). We don’t have the answer to that but there will definitely be cake following the service!
Service begins at 10:30 am and, though not required, all are invited to attend, regardless of faith background. The Death Café itself will begin at approximately 11:45 am, ending around 1:15 pm. A flyer is attached.
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Utica is located at 10 Higby Rd., Utica. We hope you’ll join us for this unique opportunity to share in experiencing a Death Café, as well as a UU Church service.
Meanwhile, just a reminder that there’s a Death Café at St. Margaret’s Retreat Center this Thursday, March 20, from 6:30 – 8:00 pm.
We will also be holding a Death Cafe in Rome on April 2nd . However, that event is open only to members of Mohawk Valley Institute for Learning in Retirement (MVILR). If you are a member and wish to join us, you’ll need to register through MVILR.
Other events are in the works for this Spring, including one in collaboration with Munson Art Museum in May. We’ll keep you posted on details.
