<span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;b&gt;About this Event&lt;/b&gt; &lt;br/&gt; Event Photos &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Dr. John Wright&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Clinical Oral Pathology Update Course Summary:  &lt;/strong&gt;The course is designed to provide a thorough review and update of the more common oral diseases seen in private practice. The emphasis will be on clinical features and include therapeutic management. A portion of the course will be interactive and group diseases according to common clinical presentations, i.e, white, red, pigmented lesions, ulcers and mass lesion. Reviewing oral pathology in a differential diagnosis format should provide a practical approach to the recognition, diagnosis, and management of these problems.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Course Presenters: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Dr. John Wright &lt;/strong&gt;is a Regents Professor and Chair of Diagnostic Sciences at Texas A&amp;M College of Dentistry. He is an oral pathologist and Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and the American Board of Oral Medicine. He has contributed to over 100 publications, including textbooks on oral cancer and tumors of the head &amp; neck, and common clinical manifestations of disease. Dr. Wright is past President of the American Board Of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology as well as past President of the International Association of Oral Pathologists.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Disclosure: Dr. Wright reports no conflict of interest.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Via Woo&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Dr. Victoria Woo &lt;/strong&gt;received her DDS with distinction from the University of Western Ontario School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2001. Following dental school, she completed a General Practice Residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard-wide Hospitals and specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. She was a faculty member at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine prior to joining Texas A&amp;M College of Dentistry in 2020, where she is currently the Director of Pathology and Advanced Education Program. Dr. Woo is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and fellow of the American Academy of Oral &amp; Maxillofacial Pathology.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Disclosure: Dr. Woo reports no conflict of interest. &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Dr. Madhu Shrestha&lt;/strong&gt; is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the department of Diagnostic Sciences, at the Texas A&amp;M University- School of dentistry. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Oral &amp; Maxillofacial Pathology and a diplomate of the American Board of Oral &amp; Maxillofacial Pathology. Dr. Shrestha received her dental degree from Tribhuvan University, Nepal where she topped her class and was a recipient of the 2006 gold medal. Dr. Shrestha worked for two years in academia after graduation and followed her passion to pursue Masters in Oral Pathology from India in 2008-2011. After working for four years as an Assistant professor in Oral Pathology in Nepal, Dr. Shrestha earned a Japanese government scholarship (MEXT) to pursue her Ph.D. in Japan, where her research in molecular carcinogenesis have received several awards as best paper, poster, young investigator award etc. in Japan and international meetings. Dr. Shrestha was a recipient of the Dean’s award in 2019 in Hiroshima University. Dr. Shrestha joined the Texas A&amp;M university where she completed Masters in Oral Biology as well as certificate and fellowship in Oral &amp; Maxillofacial Pathology in 2022. She joined National Institutes Dental and Craniofacial research at the NIH as a clinical fellow for six months before transitioning back as a faculty in her alma-mater. Dr. Shrestha has published several peer-reviewed manuscripts and is a reviewer of several scientific journals in dentistry. Her research interest includes oral cancer and precancer, soft tissue tumors, bone research and salivary gland pathology. Dr. Shrestha served as the Vice President of the Chancellors’ student advisory committee of Texas A&amp;M University and as a CSAC representative from the TAMHSC student governing board. Dr. Shrestha likes writing poems, stories and was a student blog ambassador during her residency.
