What makes a city truly sustainable? Explore work, consumption and participation through two very different NYC organizations.
About this Event

Climate Week conversations often center on energy, technology, and climate solutions. But sustainability also shows up in how we work, how resources are used, who gets to participate, and how communities create lasting value.

This Climate Week NYC, step inside Fountain House + Body Cafe, a Hell’s Kitchen employment social enterprise, for an intimate conversation with two NYC organizations approaching sustainable living from very different directions.

Fountain House + Body Cafe creates meaningful employment opportunities for New Yorkers living with mental illness while producing handmade and refillable home goods.

Green Gooding is rethinking consumption through access and reuse, helping people get more value from goods and resources that already exist.

This isn’t another conversation about why sustainability matters. We’ll explore what it takes to make it work in practice: turning mission into an operating model, encouraging participation, navigating trade-offs, and creating environmental, social, and economic value.

Come for the conversation. Stay for the connections with people rethinking what a sustainable city can look like.
