This monthly circle is for women with a passion for the planet who want to connect, create and collaborate for positive action.

It’s Not Waste Until you Waste It

Join us for our October monthly collaborative circle where we share stories, ideas and actions for Mother Earth.

This month our topic is waste, or waste prevention to be precise because as we all know, waste is just resource in the wrong place – indeed it’s not waste until you waste it. Fittingly, our speaker for September is Brighton’s very own Resource Goddess, Cat Fletcher, award winning waste prevention activist, researcher and practitioner. Cat co-founded Freegle, the UK’s online biggest reuse network who each month keep over 1000 tonnes in circulation; she is the driving force behind the multi award winning Waste House; she runs Planet Brighton an environmental hub in the city centre and the Free Shop providing people, projects and good causes with goods and materials diverted from landfill. A speaker, writer, consultant, Cat is the Queen of Resource and she’ll be sharing her story along with practical actions we can all take to ensure that resources find good homes.

Climate Women is a new collaborative, inclusive project founded by international speaker, writer, activist Benita Matofska and owner of Circles, the sustainable and wellbeing hub in the North Laine, Jules Hau, for women in the Brighton & Hove area – circles take place in the last week of the month held at Circles…

We look forward to another evening of inspiration, connection and action for the planet.

The event starts at 6.30pm, but feel free to come down from 6pm, you be able to browse the preloved clothing, sustainable gifts and jewellery at Circle Store and meet the other attendees beforehand.

We provide a selection of hot drinks and snacks at the event.
