About this Event

Join us at Roundhay Farm, courtesy of William Hutchinson, for a collaborative event organised by Anglian Water. As growers continue to face the challenges of climate change, prolonged dry periods, and increasing pressure on soil health and crop resilience, this practical event will focus on improving land performance through effective soil structure repair, reduced tillage, and maximised nutrient availability for autumn crops. Through a combination of field-based demonstrations and expert discussion, you'll learn how to build more resilient soils, improve water infiltration and moisture retention, boost crop yield, cut long-term costs, and make confident autumn decisions with the latest insights on sustainable soil and nutrient management, fertiliser spreader maintenance, and the latest updates on regulations around organic manure applications—all with actionable advice you can apply straight away.

🔍 Workshop Highlights:

  • Diagnosing & correcting soil structure issues
  • Reduced tillage & targeted soil movement to improve resilience
  • Integrating biological & mechanical soil management
  • Nutrient Management Planning for optimal efficiency
  • Fertiliser spreader maintenance and calibration tips
  • Updates on changes to Farming Rules for Water
  • BASIS/NROSO points (applied for)
