Climate Resilience Workshop (+ Free Trees)
About this Event
East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District is excited to present a Climate Resilience: At Home, In Your Yard, and Beyond workshop at Leach Botanical Garden.
Learn how climate change is impacting soil & water resources, and what that means for local plants, wildlife, and people. We’ll share how our choices and actions at home, in the yard, and in the community can increase our resilience to a changing climate. Tips range from building healthy soil and conserving water to selecting the right plants. You can be a part of the solution, starting right at home!
We are excited to partner with Portland Parks & Recreation Urban Forestry to offer free yard trees for workshop attendees! When registering for the workshop, you can also pre-register for up to 3 free trees and pick it up after the workshop (12-1 PM)! The trees must be planted in private yards within Portland city limits.
