First UU Church of Richmond is partnering with Virginia Interfaith Power & Light for a day of interfaith activities focused on environmental justice, which is the work at the intersection of environmentalism and social justice. All are encouraged to attend the workshop at 12:30 PM "Partnering Locally for Environmental Justice", in which participants will learn about some of the environmental justice issues affecting our Richmond community, what some local faith communities are doing in response to these issues, and encourage all to explore creatively how their communities can get involved and partner with each other in this work.
An Eco Camp for children will be held at the same time as the workshop.

Before the workshop, participants also are welcome to join First UU for worship with "Climate in the Pulpit" at 10:00 AM, and if you would like to join us for a community plant-based potluck between 11:30 and 12:30, please bring a nut-free vegetarian or vegan dish to share (First UU is a nut-free facility: please, no nuts).
