Climate Immersion Artist Talks

The Immersion Project will present work from the ‘Climate Immersion Fellowship’ pilot programme at this year’s Beta festival to spark conversation around contemporary climate, environmental and biodiversity challenges and the role immersive storytelling can play in communicating them. 

Over the past 20 months, the Climate Immersion Fellows have engaged in activities with subject matter experts in the areas of climate action, biodiversity loss and environmental degradation. They also carried out interactive workshops in spatial narrative design, immersive storytelling and environmentally engaged creative practice.  

The Climate Immersion Fellowship consists of a broad spectrum of creatives from the Island; from transmedia producers to theatre directors and game designers. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the fellows and learn about their process and experience of the Immersion programme through interactive showcases, installations and lightning talks.

Immersion is a recipient of the ‘Creative Climate Action Fund II: Agents of Change’, an initiative of the Creative Ireland Programme, that supports creative, cultural and artistic projects that build awareness around climate change and empower citizens to make meaningful behavioural transformations.
