Climate Emergency Training for Communities in Midlothian [In-person]

Who is this training for?

This training is for anyone interested in learning about causes and impacts of climate change and finding out more about solutions to combat it, including personal actions you can take.

Climate impacts can seem overwhelming, so the training emphasises hope over despair and includes information on co-benefits of action on climate change.

With funders putting a stronger focus on sustainability of projects, this training is a great way upskill yourself and your organisation.

Why is being certified as Carbon Literate important?

The training is fully accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project and gives you the opportunity to be certified as Carbon Literate. Being Carbon Literate means gaining knowledge of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities and identifying positive actions to tackle them. It is a great way to gain knowledge so you can take action both in your personal life and within your community group or organisation.

More about the training

The Climate Emergency Training will include the full day session on the 27th January, followed by a post-course Carbon Literacy Assessment. To become accredited, you must attend and participate in the full session and complete some self-study tasks (including the post-course Carbon Literacy Assessment).
