Climate Change Canada Conference
About this Event

This conferences will be a global forum for multilateral discussion of climate change matters. We expect world leaders, participants, observers, media representatives and activitists.

Climate Justice is Social Justice, and it is Anti-Poverty Justice. As global temperatures and sea levels rise, as the oceans acidify and precipitation patterns get arranged, people living in poverty are the most severely impacted. Since Climate change affects everything from where the person can live to their access to health care, millions of people could be plunged further into poverty as environmental conditions worsen -Global Citizen-

Climate Justice is Gender Justice! Climate change threatens women’s wellbeing and livelihoods and increases risks of gender-based violence. When women are able to lead and benefit from climate initiatives, we move forward on the path to a just climate resilient world. Working to end gender inequalities and uphold women’s rights is part of the fight for climate justice. -Oxfam Canada-
