Topic: Climate Change & Its impact on Women!
We are excited to have Emily Northrop, a former Zontian, come speak to the Club about Climate Change! Emily will highlight some of the impacts that climate change has on women. You will also be invited to write a postcard (optional) in support of solar power in Alabama.
Speaker Bio:
Emily Northrop is active with the Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) a nonpartisan grassroots climate change advocacy organization that addresses climate change. She is Professor of Economics Emerita at Southwestern University in Georgetown Texas where climate change was an emphasis of her professional publications and in her teaching. After her 2019 retirement Emily relocated to Birmingham to live among family.
