About this Event
Reminders of climate change are everywhere -- the news, the worries of people we serve, and unusual weather events in our own communities. But where can we turn with our feelings?
Climate Cafés allow participants to share personal responses to ecological and related systemic concerns. This one is specifically for therapists and others in support roles, who have particular dilemmas to navigate. This place of connection can offer a sense of relief, belonging, and inspiration.
In our Cafés, the focus is on reflecting, rather than planning. At the same time, we believe that conversations like these support our capacity to respond creatively and collectively to the ecological crisis we face. As one participant said, “It was really helpful to meet others who have some of the same feelings about the climate crisis. It made me feel less alone in my feelings. I feel more ready to act."
This is not psychotherapy; it’s a form of community gathering -- one that creates space for diverse experiences and helps you find points of contact. The group will be capped at 10 participants or divided to allow time for free sharing and connection. Join us for this opportunity to connect with others, to hold together what is too much to carry alone.
