WOMEN WILL MARCH NATIONWIDE BEFORE THE NOV. 5 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION-Cleveland will host a diverse sister march and it will take place on Sat., Nov 2, 2024 and is under the national women's march for women's rights called by the Natioanal Women's March in D.C. Cleveland's rally and march are on Sat., Nov 2, 2024, noon-2:30 pm at Market Square Park near downtown Cleveland across from the Westside Market. Our bodies Our Choice!!!! A list of speakers and participating groups is coming.
Though reproductive freedoms is the central focus the event will also address Civil Rights, education, immigration, poverty. racism, sexism, violence agaisnt women, and the many social issues women face. It is also a push for progressive women to be elected to office in November, including Vice President Kamala Harris as the nations' first Black and first female vice president. The time is now!!!!. Vote Nov 5. Harris is leading in the polls partly because women support her and if women, Black people and other disenfranchised groups rise up and support her in historic numbers she can win. The ballot box remains an effective tool for pubic policy changes.
When women vote and take to the streets and march we win and we will fight against a national ban on abortion We won on Issue 1 in Ohio, which gives women the right to abortion, and now our enemies want a national ban because they hate women. There is power in organizing and in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio we are organized. Organize. Educate. Agitate. We want Roe v Wade restored and codified into law, period.
