What do you get when two inseparable friends from Canada's Cobourg grow up with a shared love of AC/DC, hip-hop and rattling rock music? cleopatrick!
Since their kindergarten days, Luke and Ian have been each other's sounding board and wall of sound. Literally. Without a bass player, without major label contracts, but with loads of enthusiasm, they built their own universe of pounding riffs. Their debut BUMMER catapulted them from local sports bars to stages like Lollapalooza, Reading & Leeds and the cover of Spotify's Rock This.
With their new album FAKE MOON, they take a different, quirky path. Less muscle, more soul. Think: post-rock with a laptop, Radiohead through a cracked lo-fi filter and lyrics that question rather than answer. Or as they describe it themselves: LAPTOP ROCK.
From kindergarten to cult status - cleopatrick is proof that with friendship, vision and a well-tuned fuzz pedal you can get very far, meanwhile even reaching a second time in AB.
