Cleft and Craniofacial Speech Therapy Boot Camp for Patients and Families
About this Event
The will host its annual Speech Therapy Boot Camp for Patients and Families, October 3, 2026, at Memorial Regional Hospital's Conference Center in Hollywood, FL.
Patients and their families will take part in fun, hands-on activities designed to support clearer speech and stronger communication skills. Through a focus on accurate oral placement and reducing speech habits that get in the way, participants will make meaningful progress—while connecting with other families, sharing experiences, and building lasting friendships in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Please Note: At least one parent must remain at the boot camp throughout the day.
ACTIVITIES
Our cleft and craniofacial team, speech and language pathologists, and community providers will offer parents and children:
- Fun and social activities to improve speech intelligibility.
- Training on ways to stimulate their child’s speech production and will be provided with specific home program recommendations.
- Opportunities to interact with them and other families.
Patients will be grouped according to age and needs.
REGISTRATION COST
- $25 per family: Pre-registration (before September 12)
- $40 per family: Late registration (after September 13)
