📢 Hey Secord Residents!🌟 Clean up Day and Big Bin Event – Saturday, May 30th from 9 AM to 1 PM! 🌟
🟢 Who Can Participate?
Clean up Day - Everyone and there will be prizes :)
Big Bin Event - You must have a valid and active Secord Community League (SCL) membership to make use of the bins.
🔗 Memberships can be purchased on-site for just $25 or on https://www.secordcl.com/membership — offering great benefits throughout the year!
🚗 Important Reminder:
SCL volunteers will not assist with unloading your vehicle. Please bring help if needed.
🚫 List of Prohibited items
-Appliances (e.g., fridges, AC units, water coolers – due to freon/coolant)
-Mattresses and box springs
Tires and batteries
-Pressurized containers (e.g., propane tanks)
-Light bulbs (regular or fluorescent) and light ballasts
-Paint, paint cans, or oil cans
-Chemicals, pesticides, herbicides
-Flammable or combustible materials
-Liquids or household hazardous waste (e.g., cleaners, solvents)
-Treated lumber
-Food waste
-Yard waste (grass, leaves, straw, hay, mulch, loose leaves)
-Dirt, soil, or concrete (especially in larger volumes)
-Materials with asbestos
-Biological waste or animal carcasses
-Railway ties
-Personal Protective Equipment
-Large amounts of construction/renovation waste (SCL discretion)
🔄 If you bring restricted items, you’ll be asked to take them back and dispose of them at a Local Eco Station.
📍 Location: DTK School Parking Lot
