Join us at All Hands Pottery for a hands-on Clayscapes Workshop!

Workshop: Glazing Pottery – Beginner to Advanced

Whether you're just starting or looking to refine your technique, this workshop offers something for everyone. In this 90-minute event, you'll get hands-on experience with a variety of Clayscapes glazes while exploring the best practices for application and layering.

Details:

• Duration: 1.5 hours (includes 30-minute demo and Q&A)
• Skill Level: Beginner to Advanced
• Materials: Bring one bisqued piece of pottery (6" x 6" or smaller), with the bottom waxed 24 hours in advance. For those testing layering techniques, be sure to wax the bottom 2" of your piece. Also, bring a kiln cookie (a cookie with pinched-up edges) to act as a drip catcher. If you are already part of the All Hands Community...Be sure to get the discount code from the studio!

What to Expect:

• Glazing Demo: Watch as your instructor, Amy Lee, demonstrates proper glazing techniques. Learn how to create stunning layers of color using Clayscapes glazes.
• Q&A: Have a glaze-related question? This is the perfect time to ask! Get personalized advice on troubleshooting common issues and perfecting your glaze application.
• Experimentation: Explore a variety of Clayscapes glazes and see firsthand how different colors and techniques create unique results.

Important Notes:

• Waxing: Be sure to wax the bottom of your piece 24 hours in advance to avoid glaze sticking during firing.
• Kiln Cookie: A kiln cookie is required to catch any glaze drips, so please bring one with your piece.
