Clays for Kids - Colorado Springs 2022

BluSky is excited to announce our 18th Annual Clays for Kids sporting clay event. For 18 years, we have been hosting a tournament that raises funds for service centers for children across the country. All proceeds from this year’s tournament will go directly to Angels of America's Fallen. This year our goal is to raise $60,000.00 nationally and $15,000 here in Northern Colorado with our friends, partners and clients. Over its tenure, this event and others, BluSky has raised more than $400,000 for children and family-related charities. Go-BluSky!

What is Sporting Clays? Sporting Clays is an exciting form of shooting. Participants are in squads of four to shoot a round. A round consists of 100 targets being thrown in a game style setting with each station representing a different field situation. The competitor who hits the most targets is the winner. Targets, ammo and ear protection will be provided, but please bring your own eye protection (safety glasses/sunglasses). Also, do not be afraid if you are new to the sport. We will have beginners and experts along for this fun filled day!

Who is Angels of America's Fallen? Angels of America’s Fallen is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by a retired Lt Col with 25 years of service as an enlisted Army field artillery canon crewman, a Marine Corps fighter pilot, and an Air Force Reconnaissance pilot. He created Angels of America’s Fallen in 2012 to address a gap in support he saw for the children of his fallen friends in all branches of the military and first responders. There was no program providing opportunities for the children to be engaged in healthy activities the entire year, with long term support every year of their childhood, in between initial grief counseling and scholarships once they became adults. Angels of America’s Fallen was designed to offer positive outlets for the children’s grief during the entire period of these most crucial developmental years. Our staff and board consist of individuals with a passion to help the children in the most impactful way we know. That is to provide them an opportunity, not a handout or a gift, but a chance to invest in themselves and pursue healthy activities during their entire childhood.
