Discover the joy of working with clay in our introductory hand-building class. This 6-week session is designed completely for beginners and covers essential core techniques including pinching, coiling, and slab construction. You'll learn how to transform raw clay into beautifully finished, functional, or sculptural ceramic pieces.
When: Thursdays from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM (6-Week Session) – Beginning August 6
Where: Artists' Workshop of New Smyrna Beach, Studio A (540 Barracuda Blvd)
Cost: $175 for Members | $200 for Non-Members
Supplies: $50 per 25 lb. bag of clay (includes studio glazes and kiln firings)
Bonus: Class registration includes free access to Open Studio time in Studio A for the entire 6 weeks you are enrolled, giving you extra hours to practice your new skills outside of class time.
