CLASSICS: JAY-Z vs JIGGA — The Blueprint of A Reasonable Doubt
About this Event
CLASSICS: JAY-Z vs JAŸ-Z — The Blueprint of a Reasonable Doubt
Presented by Acknowledgements® | Thursday, July 9th | The Felix SF | 9PM–1AM
This summer marks 30 years since Jay-Z released Reasonable Doubt — and CLASSICS is marking it with a full night dedicated to his world, from the very beginning to right now.
One room, one catalog, told in order. Start with the 1996 hustle that built the Roc-A-Fella empire. Move through the Jigga era and the dynasty years — Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Memphis Bleek, and Dipset's run through the label before they broke off on their own. Hit the icon era with Kanye, Beyoncé, Eminem, and Watch the Throne. Land on the reflective legacy of 4:44 and The Black Album.
And for the heads: expect easter eggs throughout the night, with the rarest material saved for the headline set — samples behind the records, deep album cuts, rare freestyles most people have only heard at 2am on YouTube.
Jay-Z plays Yankee Stadium this summer too. We're bringing his world to San Francisco first — and marking 30 years while we're at it.
