Join Metropolitan Opera’s star Elizabeth Llewellyn (soprano) and Simon Lepper (piano) for a poignant and heartfelt finale on Valentine’s Eve
About this Event

Elizabeth Llewellyn (soprano) / Simon Lepper (piano)

From a first kiss to a death kiss and everything in between! Featuring Puccini’s romantic notion of death, Britten’s tortured tale of Peter Grimes and Strauss’s familiarity of love, this recital will certainly be a whirlwind of romantic notions and intentions. What better way to prepare for Valentine's Day.

Classical done differently.

Classical Vauxhall is now in its third year, bringing outstanding new and established artists to Vauxhall. This series is inspired by the visionary Jonathan Tyers, who opened the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens to make entertainment accessible to everyone.

Funded by Vauxhall One and run by Artistic Director Fiachra Garvey, this year we have expanded the festival to include 5 distinct performances, each with its own theme, spread over 4 days in St Mark’s Church.

So let us bring you back from the depths of winter with a heart-warming classical experience in a beautiful setting.

Should you wish to support the future of Classical Vauxhall and our work with local schools, it is also possible to make a donation. Visit the education page on our website to read more about our work this year bringing classical music to people of all ages and backgrounds. Any donations will help us share classical music with new audiences and the community.

COVID and Refund Policy:

Due to the uncertain nature of the current COVID situation and the government guidelines that have been put in place at the time of writing, we aim to continue with the performances at a reduced capacity and will require our attending guests to wear masks at the event.

In the event that things change between now and the events, the event will still continue online on dates to be confirmed. Guests who have purchased a ticket in advance are entitled to a refund should they so choose, or can have the option to use these funds as a donation towards this year’s event, the expense of which is substantially greater when online.

We thank you for your understanding and appreciate your support.
