About the artists:
Ekta Sandbhor - Odissi
Ms. Ekta Sandbhor is an Odissi Dancer & teacher from Pune, currently residing in Seattle. She is the disciple of Odissi Guru Shringarmani Mrs. Anuradha Gandhi, Pune.( Follows Odissi Style of - Padmavibhushan Guru Shri Kelucharan Mohapatra style). She has given performances for various cultural & Dance festivals in India & USA. She has completed her Graduation level training-Nritya Visharad under her Gurus guidance. She has also learned from Guru Sujata Mohapatra, Guru Parwati Dutta, Guru Dr. Kaustavi Sarkar, Guru Ratikant Mohapatra & Padmashree Guru Ranjana Gauhar during workshops. She has also learnt Kathak, Lyrical Contemporary and Jazz dance styles. She has completed MSc from Pune University. She has achieved the excellence certificate from SPIC MACAY & UNC University of North Carolina (USA) in Indian Classical dance educators training course.
She has been awarded with prestigious "Bhakti Narthaki" title from International Shiva Community at Bhakti revival festival. Also awarded with Women Icon Award 2022 by Women’s World Records on International Women’s Day for Appreciable work in the field of Odissi Dance & Teaching. She has also conducted Odissi dance masterclasses at North Carolina state University,NCSU Dance program.
Recently She has written a Review Article “Odissi - The Indian Classical Dance” for Meetkalakar Artipedia.
Sharbani Datta - Odissi
Sharbani Datta, a Sangeet Visharad in Odissi was introduced to this exquisite art form by her parents at the tender age of 4. Since then, she has honed her skills under the tutelage of various Gurus like Lt. Guru Bijay Das from Odisha, India, and Guru Smt. Madhulita Mohapatra from Karnataka, India being the most prominent among them.
Throughout her journey, she has had the privilege of performing in numerous events, both in groups and solo. Notable among these are the Puri Beach Festival and Konark Festival in India, as well as performances at the Nehru Centre in London and, most recently, at the Seattle Armoury.
She is delighted to run her own Odissi dance classes in Redmond. On March 31, she and her students presented an inaugural group performance under the banner of America’s Nritya Idol.
She eagerly anticipates exploring more avenues to share the beauty of this dance form with the world.

Aishwarya Ramakrishnan - Bharatanatyam
Aishwarya Ramakrishnan, is a Bharatanatyam artist from Bangalore trained in the Kalakshetra Bāni under the careful guidance of Guru Dr. M. R. Krishnamurthy; a direct disciple of Smt. Rukmini Devi Arundale. She has also received training from Dr. A. Janardhanan, retired principal of Kalakshetra. Her artistic journey extends to performances in several esteemed temples namely the Guruvayoorappan Temple, Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Madurai Meenakshi Temple, Brihadeeshwarar Temple, Srivilliputhur Temple and many other sacred places. She has also actively participated in the Natyanjalis conducted by the Department of Tourism of Tamilnadu. She is a law graduate and is currently dedicated to the ABA field where she is actively working to shape the lives of children with autism. She finds immense satisfaction and fulfillment in sharing her art with residents of old age homes and orphanages. The act of bringing joy and cultural enrichment to these settings is a deeply meaningful and gratifying outlet for her. She is also training in carnatic music from Dr. Aswathy Vinu, a notable vocalist from Trivandrum. She aspires to flourish as a dedicated and devoted dancer, embodying a perpetual quest for learning and growth and aims to pass on her deep reverence for Bharatanatyam to future generations.
