Classical Acting Audition Technique with Hannah Miller CDG

Hannah Miller, who most recently has worked as the head of casting at the RSC from 2008 to 2022, will be joining us for a workshop on classical text and performance.

Hannah will be asking attendees to bring a 2 minute Shakespearean/classical speech of your choice to present and work on.

Hannah has been Head of Casting at the RSC since 2008. Having studied Drama at University of Hull in mid 90’s, presenting shows in Edinburgh and the National Student Drama Festival she went to work at Cheek by Jowl followed by the National Theatre as a Casting Assistant. She then moved to the RSC as Deputy Casting Director, was Casting Director for the Birmingham Rep before returning to the RSC. Hannah works regularly in drama schools and for industry organisations advising actors on professional development, resilience and demystifying the casting process. She is a Trustee of Northampton Theatres Trust and Tamasha Theatre.

**If participants are unable to come to the workshop, they are able to request a refund (excluding Eventbrite's fee) up to 4 days before the workshop (in line with Equity's self-tape & audition turn around time ). After this, we are unfortunately unable to give a refund, but participants are welcome to give their ticket to another actor, given they are comfortable with the shorter turn around time.**
