Class: Trail Safety for Dogs

Those of you who hike with dogs — this is a don’t‑miss class. As former search‑and‑rescue members, we’ve seen far too many avoidable injuries to pets on the trail. This session is designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to keep your dog safe, comfortable, and prepared for outdoor adventures.

You’ll learn how to prevent heatstroke, protect paws on rugged terrain, manage hydration for active dogs, and understand trail readiness and safe pacing. This course is taught by a veterinarian with specialized knowledge in hiking safety for dogs, offering practical insight into recognizing distress, choosing appropriate trails, and making informed decisions that support your dog’s wellbeing.

This is a human‑only class — please leave your dogs/fur babies at home.
