YCSL welcome to see you to a new class offering gentle chair yoga, taught by one of Yuma’s most veteran holistic healers.
Kasandra Lor, a trained yoga instructor, will lead hour-long classes teaching a gentle approach to yoga. Her goal is to work with people of all ages and body types to strengthen the body, increase flexibility and balance, and support general well-being.
Kasandra plans to incorporate numerous spiritual modalities into her classes, ranging from meditation, mantras and mudras to t’ai chi chih, chi gong, and breath work.
Kasandra is best known in Yuma as being our community’s first Reiki master and as the first sound healer using Tibetan singing bowls.
The cost will be a love offering.
Please bring a yoga mat, which will be used to stand up upon.
More about Kasandra:
Kasandra Lor was born to teach. Even as a two year old, she was lining up her dolls in front of her little blackboard, teaching them their ABCs. She was born into a family with generations of teachers on both sides. She grew up to teach English as a second language and then French in Burnaby, a suburb of Vancouver, BC. A health crisis eventually brought her to healing arts… First to Reiki in1982. Then to T’ai Chi Chih, and yoga. It was a natural progression for her in 1989 to let go of the school board to begin teaching these healing arts. Decades later, she still finds joy, contentment and satisfaction helping people connect to the best part of themselves.
