Class 8 Winter Camp Shindig - Fri 9 Aug 2024An intimate evening of community connection, shared kai, celebration and creativity with people gathering around fire, food, music and dancing, at the Titirangi Beach Hall, Fri 9 Aug, 5:30pm to 11pm.

This is a FUNDRAISING EVENT to support the children of Class 8 @Titirangi Rudolf Steiner School to attend their ambitious Winter Camp at Tukino Ski Fields in early September.

-Loveray- and friends, Matiu Te Huki, DJ Morpho are super excited to create a magical night of talented entertainment, music that inspires fun and creative dancing after a shared community potluck kai and delicious hot cacao.
-Loveray- perform a multi-instrumental sound healing journey (known as a soundbath) tuning into the Earth's love harmonic frequency of 432Hz, with exotic instruments including crystal singing bowls, handpan, flutes, violins, and sacred tribal instruments. People are encouraged to get comfortable and relaxed and allow the sound vibrations to carry us on a mystical journey to the outer realms and back. The music culminates with an invitation to rise up and move our bodies with an ecstatic dance vibe to tribal drums and funk rhythms.
Matiu Te Huki is a renowned conscious musician on tour traveling New Zealand, sharing his medicine in the form of his 'huge sounding' one-man band and with his Haka and masculine / feminine relationship healing workshops.
DJ Morpho (Juliana Botero) keeps us bouncing on the dance floor adding her live saxophone solos to create amazing energy on the dance floor.
This is a one-of-a-kind special event we know you will remember for a long time.
5:30pm Doors open
6pm Pot Luck Shared Kai (bring a healthy plate to share)
The children will be offering Samosas and home baked treats and hot cacao available all evening for a koha donation to the Children’s Winter Camp.
7.00pm Sound Journey and Live Music with -Loveray-
8.30pm Live Music with Matiu Te Huki
10Pm DJ Morpho
11pm doors close
You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat and comfy cushions, the fire will blazing so the hall will be nicely warm and cozy
