$325/345 + $30 mat. fee
Experience the fun in “fun-ctional” ceramics! Learn hand-building skills and pottery decoration techniques to create your own functional ceramic pieces such as bowls, plates, cups, mugs, vases, and other handmade items to decorate your home.
All levels are welcome. Experienced students are welcome to bring their own projects to work on. The class will be limited to 10 students to facilitate one-on-one instruction.
This class is designed for adults, but mature teenagers are also welcome. Students must be at least 13 years old; age 15 and above is recommended.
COVID-19 notice: We will follow the recommended guidelines that are in place at the time of the class, for example, staying at least six feet apart, wearing masks, etc.
MATERIALS: The $30 materials fee paid to the instructor at the first class meeting includes clay, glazes, and firings, and the use of basic tools. It is recommended that students bring an apron and a hand towel for cleaning up, as well as a notebook and pencil to write down instructions and sketch ideas.
