That’s right - Capital City Wrestling has now been operating in New Brunswick for 4 years and what better way to celebrate that occasion than by having Clash 46: CCW 4Ever back home at the Fredericton Exhibition on Saturday, June 20th!
After last month’s main event, we know where “Rugged” Rick Owens will be setting his sights next. Owens will be defending the NBWA Heavyweight Title against his long-time rival Scotley Crue. These two have waged war many times in the past and it will all come to a head on Saturday, June 20th.
What will become of the Strong Brothers? We still did not get a decisive winner in last month’s I Quit match but this time, it was due to Mama Strong herself throwing in the towel. It appears that the family has had enough of this rivalry and who could blame them?! At several points throughout the match, Nick threatened to break his brother’s legs with Matt equally matching him on the aggression level. What in the world is CCW management going to do with these two?!
Last month, we all witnessed a monumental upset when Ace Dynasty were struck down by their challengers, the Real Deal Heroes. Zane Valentine and Pat Perswayze saw their night end with championship gold… but it might have had something to do with the interference by Logan Green. What repercussions will there be for Money Talks from the former champions? Will Logan and Kerry be looking for a title shot of their own?
Another big changing of the guard took place last month when the Alberta Clipper Chevron was able to dethrone the River Valley Champion “Horsepower” Hunter Sampson after several heart-stopping kickouts. It was all for naught when Scotley Crue got himself involved and Chevron was able to pull off the victory and nab himself the gold. He will immediately put the title on the line though when he defends the championship against the big bruiser Chezenko. Does this mean that the night could end with Crued Oil holding BOTH singles championships!?
Controversy was the name of the game when a triple threat NBWA Women’s Title match was suddenly announced after a confrontation between the champion Vanna Black, Salem Wilder and Stormie Hale. In a truly bizarre finish, it appeared that both Salem AND Stormie pinned Vanna at the same time. The referee’s ultimate decision? Salem and Stormie are BOTH the Women’s Champion?! That’s right! Despite Vanna’s protesting, both Stormie and Salem were each rewarded with one of the former champion’s title belts. This will not last long though as both women will go one-on-one to determine the UNDISPUTED NBWA Women’s Champion.
Kirk Aube can not get a handle on Dan McCullough for the past couple of months. After suffering a loss to the Grey Cup winner, Kirk made his presence known last month by challenging him again but this time put his career on the line if Dan was able to pin his shoulders within 10 minutes. However, in the closing moments of the contest, Aube took a cheap shot and got himself disqualified, thus nullifying the stipulation. These men will go one-on-one again in June!
