The City of Joburg’s, Johannesburg Arts Alive International Festival will host the 7th Annual Indigenous Gospel Music Festival from the 10th to 11th February 2024 from 10:00 – 17h00 at the Soweto Theatre.

Hailed as a stellar event, the Indigenous Gospel Music Festival is an Annual programme and this year it will be bigger and better than ever before! The Indigenous Gospel Music Festival is more than just a musical experience, it is a time of spiritual upliftment for many and an opportunity for the ‘indigenous churches to come together in unity and fellowship.

Indigenous Gospel is one of South Africa’s musical offerings that are most unique, with an acapella-style that is prominent and symbolic of religious cultural expression. The event, which started with just the Clap n Tap community expanded in 2021 to include Amazion. This offering of the festival will include the Amapostolo bands and to give our audiences a treat of both a spiritual and a musical feast. The event is open to applicants in and outside of Johannesburg to further highlight and celebrate the amazing genres in this sector. . Participating Choirs will be selected from the applications submitted. The final showcase to be held at the Soweto Theatre.
