CLAMS
Clams are a 5 piece rock band from Dorset who have been electrifying audiences all over the U.K.
This band takes inspired elements of blues, roots rock, rock and roll, and British hard rock, infusing them with firecracker energy, unique song-writing and captivating stage craft to create a sound that is Clams.
Notable shows include Brixton Academy (supporting Audioslave), O2 Academy Bournemouth (supporting Reef), O2 Academy Bournemouth (supporting Electric 6) Teddy Rocks festival and 100 Club, London.
C-30s
We think we formed in 1998....we have a terrible memory.
We are and have mostly always been-
Andy Nazer - Guitar, Vocals.
Sonic - Bass, Vocals.
Dom Upchuck - Drums.
Previously [or perhaps even sometimes currently, knowing the sometimes fickle nature of musical groups],
the above mentioned band members have been in other bands such as -
Demonic Upchucks, Self Abuse, Zimmer Frames, Sludgefeast, UDI, Badpenny, Inside Out, Stand-Ins, amongusty otherys.
We have, or think we have, released 5 recordings of our own material on either and or Compact Disc, Cassette, Vinyl and MP3.
3 of these have been 'proper' studio recordings, 2 have been home studio recordings.
Whatever that means.
We have supported a few notable other acts such as Buzzcocks, Edward Tudorpole, UK Subs and Peter & the Test Tube Babies
along with playing many gigs with top local bands Electric Shakes, MeatSweats, Sporadics and many others.
The sound? Well, if music be the food of love, then play on...but if music is in the bum of the beholder, then we could perhaps be described as garagepunkrockalternativegrungeindie...with a hint of swing...and a little bossanova.
We have a new 5 track Compact Disc due for release very soon, which was recorded at a 'proper' recording studio,
namely Echotown Studio in Dorchester, which we recommend.
Also, but not only...a live set was recorded at an in-store performance at Square Records in 2024 and may possibly be released on cassette sometime in the near future on the Alternative Dorsette label.
