About this Event
We're kicking off our 2025 Guest Chef Dinner Series on Tuesday, January 28th, with Chef Mike Godlewski from Deutschtown's "EYV Restaurant" taking over our kitchen!
This will be an evening where veggies are the star of what will be a delectable multicourse meal prepared and presented by Chef Mike and our nonprofit's culinary students.
This event will take place at our facility in Hazelwood on Tuesday, January 28th, beginning at 5:30pm ET.
THE MENU:
TO BE ANNOUNCED. Since EYV prefers to use seasonal ingredients, Chef has been working on a menu using ingredients that will be available for his Guest Chef date. We will post the menu here and on socials as soon as we receive it.
**EDITED TO ADD as of 9:15am on 1/2/2025** Chef has informed us that the entire menu will be vegetarian.
A LITTLE ABOUT CHEF MIKE AND EYV Restaurant:
Mike Godlewski is the Chef/Owner of EYV Restaurant, a vegetable restaurant located in Pittsburgh's Deutschtown Neighborhood, focusing on making vegetables the center of the plate, utilizing the bounty of Western Pennsylvania & East Ohio Farms whenever possible.
EYV was chosen as one of The Pittsburgh Post Gazette's & Pittsburgh Magazine's "Best New Restaurants of 2023" and Eater DC's "38 essential Pittsburgh Restaurants".
Mike grew up in the Wilke-Barre/Scranton area and attended the culinary program at Luzerne County Community College. After graduating, he worked in various establishments in Philadelphia and Northern Virginia/DC. He moved to Pittsburgh in 2009 to work at The Duquesne Club, where he was a Sous Chef for 10 years before opening EYV.
PLEASE NOTE that will be a fixed menu, and while we do our best to accommodate guests regarding food allergies, menu substitutions may not be possible. Please keep in mind that our kitchen is not a nut-free facility.
If you have food allergies and would still like to attend, please contact us before purchasing your tickets to make sure we can accommodate.
A Little About Our Guest Chef Dinners:
In our commercial and training kitchen, Guest Chef Dinner events give our culinary training students the opportunity to work with chefs from across Pittsburgh and gain valuable work experience, and perhaps new techniques from the featured Guest Chefs, who volunteer their time and talents for their dinner event.
Proceeds from these events go right back into our nonprofit's culinary training, job placement, and Community Meals programming
When you purchase your ticket to a Guest Chef Dinner, your dollars make change.
