Join us for Civics in Action: Community Civic Engagement Day, a nonpartisan morning of learning, civic engagement, and community connection. Hosted by Arizona Veterans, West Valley Women Veterans, Vet the Vote Arizona, and community partners, the event features two complementary programs.



Program 1 | 9:00–10:15 a.m.

Veteran Property Tax Benefits Presentation

Learn about Arizona’s new veteran property tax exemption program, created through recently passed legislation. Representatives from the Maricopa County Assessor’s Office will explain eligibility, implementation of the new law, application procedures, and answer attendee questions. Program 2 | 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.

Civics in Action: Excellence in Elections

Held in anticipation of National Poll Worker Recruitment Day, this nonpartisan program features a panel of women leaders in Arizona elections representing state, county, and local election administration. Learn how elections are administered, explore opportunities to serve as a poll worker or election official, and connect with organizations strengthening civic engagement across Arizona.

  • Civic Engagement Marketplace
