Please Bee-lieve it! We're B-A-C-K...and to where it began at Maverick Hotel by Kasa (formerly Ace Hotel)!
It's our 7th Annual Adult Spelling Bee Fundraiser and to commemorate this milestone, we are adding some new components to this beloved Pittsburgh tradition!
Join us for an evening of word wizardry and get ready to spell your way to victory while supporting our mission of fostering civically engaged, sustainable communities.
The Team competition returns in addition to the individual portion!
NEW - we will have raffle tickets for sale to win great prizes at some of your favorite local businesses and restaurants!
Purchase your tickets during the EARLY BIRD period, included with your ticket will be a free raffle entry AND some Civically swag!
Brush up on your vocabulary and bring your A-game for a night of friendly competition and laughter. Not a spelling savant? No problem! Come along and enjoy the event with us!

The buzzworthy details:
Individual Prizes:
- 1st Place: $250 Cash Prize
- 2nd Place: $125 Cash Prize
- 3rd Place: $75 Cash Prize
Team Competition Prize: Grand Prize of $300
- Teams can be comprised of 2-5 members
- No more than 7 teams can participate
- Tickets include: Heavy appetizers & one complimentary drink
- Doors open at 6:00 PM.
- Individual Spelling Bee starts at 7:00 PM
- Teams Competition starts at 8:15PM
- No refunds / Space is limited.
