About this Event

We're pulling threads of civic and community organizing in partnership with Communitywise Resource Centre, a place where Calgarians have come together for decades to organize! This gathering will focus on identifying advocacy efforts to create the change our communities need. Between an October Referendum to Municipal budgets to increasing austerity how we get organized is increasingly important. Will you join us, on September 15th?
Come prepared to gather over food, share what matters to you and identify how to build a campaign, learn from community experts and deepen a community of care practice.
Civic Threads is for anyone who needs a place to talk about the structural and political landscape we find ourselves in, find solidarity and looking to find allies to challenge the status quo.
