Celebrate the JOY of dancing in locations around Downtown Eureka Springs throughout August. Main Street Eureka Springs hosts 4 Silent Dance Parties to celebrate different places, sun and moon settings, and guest DJs this month.What is a Silent Dance Party? Guests will bring their smartphones/devices and headphones, download the Silent Disco App, and we will all dance to the same curated playlist in the select location.
What do I need to participate? A smartphone, YouTube, and being in the location at the right time/date.
Is there a cost? No. We have you covered.
How long are the Silent Dance Parties? 30 minutes!
Where/When are the Silent Dance Parties?
August 1st: Our first Full Moon Dance Party Eureka Springs Community Center Lawn. This Silent Dance Party starts with standing stretches provided by Katie Zerr at 8:15 PM, and the Silent Dance Party begins at 8:30 PM. We end the evening at 9 PM. Our guest DJ is the Eureka Springs Community Center Team.
August 8th: Sunrise starts at 6:15 AM on Lover's Leap at Harding Spring. Join the Silent Dance Party with a playlist provided by Melonlight. We begin with the song that started their wedding reception and move into solid dance beats for the next half hour. Come out to celebrate the rising of the sun!
August 15th: Sunset will be celebrated at East Mountain Overlook at 8 PM. Mojo's Records has provided a solid 30-minute celebration of the end of the day and the ease into the night.
August 31st: We were lucky to have a Blue Moon in August and are celebrating at the top of Basin Spring Park above the bandshell with the tunes provided by Mary Howze. Join us for the last Silent Dance Party to wish the month of Civic Joy off at 8:15 PM.
Main Street Eureka Springs Civic Sessions are offered to engage the community in the building blocks of civic leadership. They are open to everyone.
