“City Reflections” The Highline and a NYC model

In this practical workshop, you will explore ways of seeing light, which is the fundamental foundation of every photograph—looking with a photographer's eye deeply into the reflections in the windows that surround The iconic Highline in Chelsea, NYC. This workshop is a vehicle to explore and learn how to ‘see the light’. Kasia will share how she perceives ‘reflections’ and impart easy-to-follow methods of how to find them yourself.

You will learn to explore the light reflections, shapes, shadows, and lines of the architecture that surround the Highline. You will also have the opportunity to shoot a model in this setting, enabling you to learn the fundamentals of photography and have excellent shots of NYC to take home with you. This can be a perfect souvenir of your NYC trip if you are visiting or a great addition to your photography portfolio if you are a NYC local.

This workshop is limited to 10 people to allow individual attention; everyone will learn something. Just bring your camera and your curiosity!

BIOGRAPHY:

Kasia Idzkowska has established herself as one of the premier photographers across the jazz music scene. Working internationally, she has recently increased her presence in NYC. Kasia often combines her favorite genres of photography, moving freely between documentary and portraiture. She has presented her work in numerous galleries worldwide. Her work has appeared on album covers and in Warner Music Poland, Agora Music, and High Note publications. Kasia’s professional portfolio combines commercial & artistic photography. She is a distinguished photographer who received the following:
