About this Event
The City of Modesto will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony in front of Modesto High School at 8:45 a.m. The ceremony highlights the completion of important pedestrian and bicycle safety upgrades near the campus, as well as the installation of roundabouts at Paradise and Chicago and Washington and Vine, which are part of the Paradise Road Project. Funded by an Active Transportation Program grant, the upgrades include a new median, fencing, and crosswalk that now utilizes audible pedestrian signals for visually impaired community members.
Following the city’s celebration, Modesto City Schools will hold a groundbreaking ceremony at 9:30 a.m. at Modesto High School to kick off site improvements that will take place on campus over the next three years. Thanks to funding from Measure L, 52 new classrooms will be added to accommodate Modesto High School's growing student population, which will increase access and promote a safe and welcoming learning environment for our students.
We invite you to be part of this special occasion as we mark these milestones together! Don't miss out on this momentous day! Please RVSP to this invite to save your seat!
