About this Event
The Annual Stream Clean-up is a long celebrated community event that brings together the citizens of Griffin-Spalding County to make their county a better (and cleaner!) place. Individuals and groups that register will be assigned one of 14 stream locations. Volunteers and participants will start out at Historic City Hall for safety talk and sign-in and then head to their stream with their group. Volunteers will need to provide their own transportation to and from stream sites. After removing and disposing of trash from our local waterways, the volunteers will head back to Historic City Hall for lunch, group photo, door prizes, and congratulations for a job well done!
Volunteers will be provided with an address, map, and directions to their stream site and are encouraged to carpool with friends.
Please make sure to wear protective clothing, rain boots or other waterproof footwear is encouraged. Bug spray and a hat is also a good idea and please prepare to get wet and dirty!
Register by Friday, October 11 to receive lunch and a door prize ticket! If the event has sold out before October 11, please contact Alexa Robinson at [email protected]. Individuals or groups registering after the event has sold out are NOT guaranteed lunch.
