The 18th Annual City Tree Lighting is set for Thursday, Nov. 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Madison Avenue Central Park, 512 E. Madison Ave. Enjoy the lighting of the tree by Mayor Mark Staats. This event will include the following:
- Hot cocoa with toppings provided by Lange Real Estate
- Free cookies and kettle corn
- Food trucks: Face Stuffers, Busy Bs, Snack Shack and Us BBQ
- Holiday music as you walk around the park and enjoy the lights.
- Photos with Santa in the Pavilion
- Kid's crafts in the Venue with entertainment by the Derby High School jazz ensemble
- Military Christmas Card signing table. Sign a greeting card and provide well wishes for our troops in the Venue lobby.
- Derby Operation Holiday will be accepting nonperishable food, toiletries and new toys in The Venue. Donations go to families in the Derby Public School District.
