City Hall-i-Day

Join us on Wednesday, December 9th from 6-8 pm, at Chubbuck City Hall for the annual City Hall-i-Day event to celebrate the holiday season.
Visit our special guest, Santa, and take home a free picture with him. Enjoy choir performances by Highland, Century, and Pocatello Highschool. This year’s event highlights also include; cookie decorating activity for kids donated by Geraldine's, free hot chocolate, Lamb Weston's fry truck, gingerbread house contest, and a raffle drawing. Due to the generosity of local businesses, community members may purchase raffle tickets to be entered into the drawing of some exciting prizes. Proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District’s Supply Pantry. The Supply Pantry serves as vital resource for the children and families in our community. Raffle tickets may also be earned by donating new and gently used outerwear and winter gear. All donated outerwear and items will be donated to Aid for Friends to help them on their mission to overcome and prevent homelessness.
This year’s event includes the addition of a gingerbread house contest. Community members are invited to create an edible structure out of gingerbread, graham crackers, cookies, candy, or other edible materials. Participants will be grouped into age divisions, and their creations will be judged by Mayor Burch and 5 other selected community members based on a preset rubric. The age divisions are: ages 10 & under, ages 11-18, and ages 19+. Prizes will be awarded to the first place winner in each age division; with the addition of a People’s Choice Award. Community members will have the chance to vote for their favorite creation during the event.
An additional prize will be awarded to the participant whose structure best exemplifies this year’s optional theme of: Build a Better Chubbuck. We challenge participants to design and create something they would like to see in our community. A park, community garden, public facility, fun attraction, or even a business. Participants may also build something they love about Chubbuck; such as their own home, their favorite park, or their school. This year’s theme is optional, but it will allow participants another chance at earning a prize.
Gingerbread houses and structures must be delivered to City Hall by Monday, December 7th by 6:30 pm. More information to be posted!
We hope to see you there!
