City Council District 8 Debate @ DSST: Elevate Northeast High School

DSST: Elevate Northeast is proud to host the Fair Elections Fund Debate for candidates running for City Council District 8 in the 2023 Municipal Election. All families, students, and community members are encouraged to attend. Free food and language interpretation will be provided. Registration is strongly requested, so that our facility can prepare accordingly.

About the Fair Elections Fund:

In 2018, Denver voters chose to create the Fair Elections Fund, which provides public matching funds to candidates for municipal offices who voluntarily agree to raise money in lower amounts and take contributions only from individuals and small donor committees. Participating candidates are required to participate in Fair Elections Fund debates. The required debates provide healthy checks and balances for our democracy and elections and allow Denverites to directly engage with candidates and issue committees before casting their vote. Debates hold candidates accountable and provide transparency as they seek elected office in our city.
